Confinement lady and I
Madam Sie, as I know her is a lady with a sweet and pleasant voice. We met only on one occassion after a phone conversation to discuss our future as confinement lady and mother. It was music to my ears when she confirmed that she was available on the given date. As the date arrived, we picked her up at her home and she was still sweet.
Day 1 was sweet as well. She settled down and started her work as the confinement lady. That night, she spoke non-stop to get to know me better. Alas! I need the sleep as a new mother. Lots of wonderful stories, but I need my rest. In a weeks' time, I heard complaints about the baby's never ending black tarry poo. It's normal as I thought to myself knowing that it's called meconium and should be fully discharged by now. To my dismay, it continued and lasted for 2 weeks..and my baby was sent to the hospital for jaundice. I quickly thought and went to check the baby during bath time...time was not given for the baby to discharge the poo. No wonder the baby's tummy is meconium-infested for over 2 long weeks. Request was made to give baby time to discharge poo during bath time...no, she just won't listen. The message had to be repeatedly drummed into her deaf ears and had to be supervised to ensure she gives baby time to poo. One thing caught my eye...wiping the baby's delicate eyes with rough dry toilet paper and I went up the roof!
In the second week, weird habits came. "Buy me my favourite coffee sachet, I need newspapers, Your napkins are insufficient, Baby hankerchiefs are not suitable, I need 100plus drinks, Takeaway breakfast for me..." Requests after requests..came in like mortar bombs drumming into our ears...my husband, mum in-law and me. As a family, we have never been so demanding in our lives. This is too much to bear but we continued on under Queen Madam Sie. Relatives and friends came to visit. Madam Sie turned into a mouse and went to hide. Relatives saw her cooking and questioned her. She had a terrified look. Her confinement food is much too cooling for a mother under confinement. It was only steamed fish with ginger, soya pork with ginger, stir-fried french beans and kale, papaya soup with ginger. After the relatives left, "your relatives are no good, they came like a kampung full of people, they filled the hall." They are MY relatives and she zoomed into Queen mode again.
There is more to come...verbal abuse came in. "Your wok is too thin, You are a weakling, You have no bones, You didn't flush the toilet, You didn't order breakfast last night and I'm not cooking, Your drying area is too small, You have no breastmilk, You dirtied your baby's clothes with your breastmilk, You, you, you..." It's just too personalised that you can't take it anymore. I was terribly sad and fell sick...not getting up for 2 days and had to be in the hospital for a week's observation. So, I said goodbye to my baby and off I went...leaving the house and baby to Madam Sie...dreading and fearing that the worst could happen to the baby. But I just kept quiet.
In the last week of confinement, Madam Sie expressed interest to continue working on. Something fishy. She has been extremely well behaved and careful in her words. Owow! Back to sweet Madam Sie like in Day 1. Wow! Ultimate transformation. No way! She will leave and the peace in the house will be restored. I figured that she was trying to capture my heart again. No means NO!
Conversations and hubby time is almost non-existent. She joins in the conversation if it's in the hall. She is super sweet. If it's in the room under closed doors, she will open the door and budge it. WTF! So, hubby and I communicated through the phone and sms. The world is going to end under this tyranny.
On the last day, she left with some goodies, not gifts from me, but goodies begged from me. She asked and I gave away. She asked again, and I gave away again. Those were the leftovers...ingredients that I never finished during confinement. I had enough of Madam Sie and if she asks for the house, I would give her too...I just can't be bothered with her requests and was waiting for her to leave for good. Even my neighbout was not left in peace. She had the cheek to ask for stuff from my neighbour. My face went red like a lobster.
Have I been too harsh? I am just a new mum being taken advantage of. A view around the house gives her more opportunity to take advantage of the family.

FACEBOOK??
What is FACEBOOK anyway?
That's the first question. Why are some people hooked on facebook? Those were the questions that came to mind when the term "Facebook" was introduced to me...some time end of Y2009.
I accidentally ventured into Facebook when I had to get a picture...to be frank, it's a work assignment and every one in my group was all hyped over "Facebook" and will post lots of photos there. No choice, being stubborn as usual, I had to bow down to Facebook... in the name of WORK!!
Then, my journey began. I promised myself that I will finish my work requirement and not to meddle with other stuff. Then, old friends started adding me. And I got hooked ever since.
Now, I am just as "Hooked" as the others and cant stop ever since. So, guy, I am officially OFF blogging and have moved to a more exciting part.
Yo! The loyal fan of Facebook is addicted and blogging has become obsolete..For almost 1 year. Wow...

What the Future Holds
Many people wonder how their future would be like...icing on top of a cake or just plain cream or just the crust? The problem here is life has become very unpredictable in the 21st century. In the past, we were told to "study hard, work hard" as the formula of success but now, the 21st century is of a different story. If you work hard, you only eat bread. IF you work double or triple hard, you make a decent living. But if you work smart, you get a fat chunk of meat, particularly beef! Oh, I smell a rat hiding somewhere...
So, what does it mean by work smart? As an example, one way of being smart is to be a parasite sucking blood from the host. I am sure everyone knows at least one parasite in this complex society. And I call that Smart Parasite of the Generation O. But why Generation O?
The answer is simple. There is nothing left for this generation as everything is already "parasited." What is left is just the crumbs. Sadly, no one of us realises what has happened. We continue striving to continue getting education when it is clear that education doesnt guarantee success. It is such a disappointment when it comes to college education.
I do agree with what KingCY mentioned. We don't work and exhaust ourselves til death. But why are there such people in the Land of the Robots? I really wonder and am still wondering now. Sadly, my advices fall on deaf ears (that is to take a breather when work becoes unbearable. Unfortunately, most people chose to be robots. Life is all about enjoying every second of your working life, love life, family life or even study life. Once you miss it, there is no turning back. Devoting your life to your profession is not a wise idea but many become too engrossed with work that family and social life are neglected. The so called White American owned company with American quality and benefits is nonetheless, a locally owned company which thrives under an Mat Salleh name. Practically, there is nothing in it, just vows.
Life on the Moon is different from life on the Land of Robots. There is always plenty of wine for celebration while at work. I may have come too late for the party but one thing is for sure...Moonlings breathe on oxygen while Robots don't. What more..they have rosy pink cheeks while Robots only have wornout faces.
Jumping mother ship is proven to be the right choice. Till then,
Cheers! and have a Happy New Year ahead.

A New Year: A new Beginning: A New Chapter in Life
What a fine day. No stars. Only cool breeze. Life on the Moon is far better than expected. Every day is a holiday that I look forward of going to the Moon every day when I open my eyes in the Land of Emancipation.
The Moon has also brought me to new faith: Believe in God, which I didn't in the Land of the Robots. I only believe in one thing: Man and machine are greater than God. But the sad truth is it's not. I regret for not having a faith and have now restored my faith in God. Restoring what was lost, "The Belief in God."
I recall the days in the Land of the Robots. There was hardly any time for leisure, meals or even to answer a nature call. The Eichman Gods were like the Messiahs, holding whips and whipping those who didn't move fast enough. Meals and rests were rationed. Those who move fast were given more rocks to build the Pyramid of Wealth. Not many could withstand the ordeal. So, many died before 12mooons pass. Those who survived had the slightest idea of what the world outside would look like. They behaved like frogs and coconut (a Malay idiom).
However, the ordeal made me realise my full potential. It is a blessing in disguise. The challenges only make me a stronger person and is one step away from the Maslow's model. I can finally slow down my pace in life and enjoy every minute of life in the Land of Emancipation and The Moon.

Mathematical Calculation Error!
Solar eclipse vanishing act resulted in God Almighty catapulting to the Moon instead of the Land of Emancipation. The Moonlings are like honeymooners...moonlighting their ways as there is plenty of food, carpark lots, transportation, good chair to rest their pink rosy butts on and even free flow of oxygen which does not make anyone into a snowman/snow-woman like what happened in the Land of Robots.
Anyway, the Moon is far better than expected. The Land of Emancipation, afterall is filled with monkeys stealing bananas most of the time. When they are found out, however, all they do is scream, shout, scratch their heads and run away as if they are not at fault. The Male God, King Meow-Meow at the Land of Emancipation also has problems disciplining the monkeys. S-O-S signals were sent out, but responses were slow. King Meow-Meow has his ways of dealing with the monkeys through monkey talk. But Almighty doesnt speak the language. So, she could only watch.

The Mysteriously Vacant Seat
How can a chair be so powerful that no man can handle its power? Is this a cursed chair, I wonder..Several candidates have come to test the power of The Chair but The Chair has spoken. It has recorded casualties over the past years, with only One successor, which I term it as newly-accidentally-appointed Successor. Casualties versus Successors = 3:1. And with God's departure, the ratio is now 4:0.
Let's study The Chair. A Chair can be interpreted in a few angles.
1. An object which people rest their butts on;
2. The leader of a tribe/community/group;
3. A symbol of power and control over others;
4. A symbol of defeat/loss where a person has to accept defeat by sitting
Throughout the years living in the Land of the Robots, all the above circumstances were faced. A genuine request for a chair was made health problems for the purpose of #1 to rest a pair of fleshy, pink, delicate round butts on to optimise work performance. This was, however, viewed as #3 and therefore condemned. While the request was analysed with scrutiny based on the necessity to provide parts of a chair (the arm, headrest, back pocket,wheels,etc), one instantly know that it is a waste of brainpower and braincells to think so much over a request for a chair. Anyhow, a chair was given and after much sarcasm, the requester was made #4 but automatically appointed #2 by the majority.
Now that the purpose of #1,#2, #3 and #4 is all fulfilled, it is time to bid farewell. The seat is mysteriously vacant now even after giving 2-months of notice. Is time not enough to find a successor or is the seat just too cold for poor Goldilocks?
Fellow ESLings should have the answer as to what power one can get by sitting on "The Chair". For God, nothing can be too overwhelming as it is all in the mind. God's departure is due to dissapointments in the name of education.

Countdown to Stepdown
The sky is clear and wind recorded at 75knots per hour. Clear visibility of the Sun and Moon from Planet Earth. A solar eclipse will take place in 46 working hours starting from Dec 01, 2009. At 1200 hours, there will be a solar eclipse, which is visible from the Land of the Robots.
At 1200 hours, King CY will be scheduled to release white pigeons, as signs of freedom and Pirahna fish, wishing the God a safe journey to the Land of Emancipation. God's seat is still cold and untaken at the time of the solar eclipse. The solar eclipse is scheduled to last for 180 seconds, as no traffic jam is recorded at that hour. No ESLings should see the solar eclipse take place, especially those who are of born in the Year of the Monkey or Ram.
All other Gods will watch helplessly as the solar eclipse takes place. Some Gods will bid farewell, shed a tear while some others will welcome new Gods to lead fellow ESLings. Come 2009, the age gap between fellow Gods and ESLings will be closer, most likely around 3 years or so. The Theme of the welcome party is "Fresh."
The Land of the Robots will continue to be ruled by a newly accidentally-appointed God,who fulfills the criteria of "Fresh", 3-year gap and possess an English tongue.
Robots Rule!!
